Morning Mist Green tea from Yunnan is a tea blend with a a robust long leaf style – good body tea with hints of smokiness. Characteristic of Yunnan teas. One of our best sellers to local customers. Interesting Fact: Yunnan is the possible original home of the camellia sinensis plant.
Depending upon the tea leaf size, 1 oz brews about 8-10 cups.
Review:
The first steep brews a great cup of floral and earthy aromas, with just a tinge of astringency. Beware of oversteeping and using high temperatures.
- 1st steep: 185 F for 3 minutes. If using more tea, try 1.5 minutes instead.
- 2nd steep: 175 F for 3 minutes - tastes very bitter and astringent, with the floral notes barely detectable in the back of the throat. Would not recommend doing this - try shorter steeps next time if wanting multiple cups.
